When I can I start filing my taxes in Money Pro?

The “File Taxes” button will be shown on the Money Pro “Taxes” page starting on January 1, 2024.

The official day you can‌ start submitting your filing is January 29, 2024, which is set by the IRS.

What are the important filing dates for the 2023 Tax Year (in 2024)?

  • January 4, 2024: Open date for Money Pro/Column Tax portal.

  • January 29, 2024: IRS open date for filing 2023 taxes.

  • April 15, 2024: IRS filing season deadline

  • October 16, 2024: Extension Filing Deadline

What filing year does my Money Pro subscription cover?

If you purchased Money Pro in 2023 and you have tagged all of your business expenses, income, and mileage (if applicable), you can file your 2023 business taxes during the 2024 tax season — as long as you have not canceled your Money Pro subscription.

Am I required to file my taxes through Money Pro?

No, you aren't required to file your taxes through Money Pro. Various tax reports are available to you so that you can file any way you want.

What tax reports are available to me?

The following reports are available under the “Taxes” section:

  • Schedule C

  • Tax Details (for Tax Filing)

How do my expense deductions get included in my tax filing?

When you file your taxes through Money Pro, all of your data is imported into the Column Tax website, saving you money and time. Everything you’ve entered into Money Pro has already been categorized and identified as a tax deduction in the background.

How can I reduce my tax bill?

Make sure to enter your 2023 business activity in Money Pro. This includes business expenses, mileage, and any quarterly tax payments.

If you haven't tagged your business expenses, link your bank account or credit card to import the expenses into Money Pro. You'll be able to quickly tag the expenses as business and designate an expense category if it's not already set.

Is ZenBusiness filing my business taxes for me?

No, our partner, Column Tax, will file your taxes for you as long as you have a Money Pro subscription.

What fees are included in my Money Pro subscription when it comes to filing taxes?

We cover the state fee (one state only) and the federal fee.

Can I file my business and personal taxes with Money Pro?

Yes. Money Pro/Column Tax supports single-member LLCs, which means personal taxes and schedule C.

No. Money Pro/Column Tax supports single-member LLCs, which means personal taxes and schedule C.

Will I be able to file my taxes late this year if I request an extension from the IRS?

No. Money Pro doesn't currently support the ability to file your taxes late.

How long does it take to get a refund?

Most refunds are issued within 21 calendar days.

How will I know if my tax filing has been accepted?

You'll receive an email from Column Tax if your tax filing has been accepted or rejected. You should expect to receive an email within 24 to 48 hours after the filing has been submitted.

How can I check the status of my tax filing?

You can sign into the Column Tax website to check both your return status and the amount refunded or owed.
