As a small business owner, you are responsible for both federal income taxes, employer, and self-employment taxes. An employer must withhold these taxes and pay them quarterly. Per the IRS, you must withhold and pay at least 90% of these taxes during the year to avoid a penalty. These payments are due quarterly on April 15th, June 15th, September 15, and January 15th and can be via mail or online using the links below.
