How do I file my taxes with TaxSlayer?
If your business is in a state other than Alaska, California, Florida, Nevada, New York, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, or Wyoming, you can use the TaxSlayer service included with your Money Pro subscription to file one federal and one state income tax returns.
To file a Schedule C through TaxSlayer, follow these steps to use your Money Pro report.
This outlines the set-up and Schedule C data in Money Pro. You may need to calculate or enter more information based on your business.

Export your Schedule C Report from ZenBusiness Money Pro
Click on Reports from the left side menu
Select Tax Reports
Download Schedule C report for 2022
If you have multiple businesses, repeat these steps to download a report for each business
You can also download your Schedule C report by going to the Taxes page within ZenBusiness Money and clicking on the Schedule C button underneath the chart
Log in if you have an existing TaxSlayer account by clicking the Log In button or create a new TaxSlayer account by clicking the Start for Free button
Start your 2022 return
Follow the prompts to agree to terms & conditions and enter the following information:
Personal information
Taxpayer information
Filing status
Dependent information (if applicable)
IRS Identity Protection PIN (if applicable)
Confirm the information you’ve entered and click Continue
In the left side-bar menu, select Federal then select Income
Scroll down to “Profit or Loss from Business” (Reported on Schedule C) and click the Begin button
Click the Enter Myself button
Enter your business details (e.g., name, Employer ID, if applicable, address, and business type)
Click the Begin button next to Income
In the Gross receipts or sales text box, enter the number from Part I, Line 1 in your ZenBusiness Money Pro Schedule C report
If applicable, click the Begin button next to Cost of Goods Sold
Use Part III of your ZenBusiness Money Pro Schedule C report and your inventory records to complete this section
Click the Begin button next to General Expenses
Enter the following information:
In the Advertising text box, enter the number from Part II, Line 8 in your ZenBusiness Money Pro Schedule C report
In the Contract Labor text box, enter the number from Part II, Line 11 in your ZenBusiness Money Pro Schedule C report
In the Commission and fees text box, enter the number from Part II, Line 10 in your ZenBusiness Money Pro Schedule C report
In the Depletion text box, enter the number from Part II, Line 12 in your ZenBusiness Money Pro Schedule C report
In the Employee benefit programs text box, enter the number from Part II, Line 14 in your ZenBusiness Money Pro Schedule C report
Health Insurance expenses are typically included in the Employee benefit programs line item on the Schedule C, so you can disregard this field if you have tracked these expenses in ZenBusiness Money Pro since they are already accounted for in the Employee benefit programs line item
In the Insurance (other than health) text box, enter the number from Part II, Line 15 in your ZenBusiness Money Pro Schedule C report
Long-Term Care Insurance to be Carried to Adjustment can be disregarded unless you have tracked this expense outside of ZenBusiness Money Pro
In the Mortgage interest text box, enter the number from Part II, Line 16a in your ZenBusiness Money Pro Schedule C report
In the Other interest text box, enter the number from Part II, Line 16b in your ZenBusiness Money Pro Schedule C report
In the Legal and professional services text box, enter the number from Part II, Line 17 in your ZenBusiness Money Pro Schedule C report
In the Office expense text box, enter the number from Part II, Line 18 in your ZenBusiness Money Pro Schedule C report
In the Pension and profit sharing text box, enter the number from Part II, Line 19 in your ZenBusiness Money Pro Schedule C report
In the Rent or lease of equipment text box, enter the number from Part II, Line 20a in your ZenBusiness Money Pro Schedule C report
In the Rent or lease of property text box, enter the number from Part II, Line 20b in your ZenBusiness Money Pro Schedule C report
In the Repairs and maintenance text box, enter the number from Part II, Line 21 in your ZenBusiness Money Pro Schedule C report
In the Supplies text box, enter the number from Part II, Line 22 in your ZenBusiness Money Pro Schedule C report
In the Taxes and licenses text box, enter the number from Part II, Line 23 in your ZenBusiness Money Pro Schedule C report
In the Travel text box, enter the number from Part II, Line 24a in your ZenBusiness Money Pro Schedule C report
In the Meals (100%) text boxes, use the number from Part II, Line 24b in your ZenBusiness Money Pro Schedule C report and enter it into the appropriate meal percentage. Note: For 2022, all business meals are typically 100% deductible
In the Utilities text box, enter the number from Part II, Line 25 in your ZenBusiness Money Pro Schedule C report
In the Wages text box, enter the number from Part II, Line 26 in your ZenBusiness Money Pro Schedule C report
Click the Begin button next to Car And Truck Expenses
Enter the following information:
Enter vehicle description and date the vehicle was placed into service
Use Part IV of your ZenBusiness Money Pro Schedule C report to enter your business miles before 7/1 and after 6/30
Check the box next to Check if you have evidence to support your deduction
Check the box next to If yes, check if evidence is written
If applicable, click the Begin button next to Other Expenses
Use the information in Part V of your ZenBusiness Money Pro Schedule C report to complete this section of TaxSlayer
After entering your data from your ZenBusiness Money Pro report, you can continue your tax return and enter any other details such as your W-2 income, personal deductions, etc. By clicking Federal on the left side-bar menu, you can choose to be guided or choose other forms you’d like to complete.
Once you have completed entering all of your information for federal and state and you are ready to submit your tax return, you can enter the code provided by ZenBusiness Money Pro in the promo code section. This will cover the cost of your e-file for federal and one state.
