If you're switching to a different registered agent (another service, an attorney, or yourself):

File the change-of-agent form with your state's Secretary of State. ZenBusiness can tell you which form to use.
Wait for the state to process the change and confirm the new agent is on file.
Only then cancel your ZenBusiness Registered Agent subscription. Contact our support team — cancellation requires confirming a replacement is in place.

Multi-State Businesses and Foreign Qualifications

If your LLC is foreign-qualified in states beyond your formation state — meaning you're officially registered to do business in additional states — you need a registered agent in each of those states. Each state requires its own change-of-agent filing, with its own form, fee, and timeline.
