Troubleshooting the ZenBusiness Dashboard
Updated over a year ago

If you are having trouble logging into or using your dashboard, there are a few simple steps you can take that should resolve your problems. This guide will detail those steps and help you get back to running your business.

Here are a few examples of issues that this article can help you resolve:

  • If you see a blank screen instead of Dashboard content

  • If you can't close pop-ups on the website

  • If links don't work when you try and use them

  • If your documents aren't legible

The ZenBusiness website, including the Dashboard, is built to be viewed in Chrome. If you are using a different browser, please try in Chrome.

Clear your browser cache

The first step you take in troubleshooting your dashboard issues should be to clear your browser cache. The following link is to the official Google Help center and details how to clear your browser cache.

Step

Description

1

At the top right of the window, click the 3 vertical dots to open the Chrome menu.

2

Click More Tools.

3

Click Clear Browsing Data.

4

Make sure that Cached images and files checkbox is checked.

  • Clearing cookies and other site data is a good idea. Some cookies store info that can become stale.

  • You don't need to check “Browsing history”.

Click Clear data.

5

Try loading the Dashboard and see if the problem is resolved. If not, proceed to Use an Incognito Window below.

Use an Incognito Window

Launching a new Incognito window in Chrome can help determine if the issue is specific to your browser configuration or extensions. In an Incognito window, extensions are usually disabled, which will help test the problem.

Step

Description

1

At the top right of the window, click the 3 vertical dots to open the Chrome menu.

2

Click New Incognito Window.

3

Try loading the Dashboard and see if the problem is resolved.

4

If using an Incognito window resolves the issue, you may have an extension that's causing the issue. Proceed to "Disable browser extensions" below.

5

If the issue isn't resolved in incognito mode, proceed to "Check for browser updates" below.

Disable Browser Extensions

Some browser extensions or add-ons can interfere with websites. Try disabling any add-ons you have to see if the problem remains.

Step

Description

1

At the top right of the window, click the 3 vertical dots to open the Chrome menu.

2

Click More Tools.

3

Click Extensions.

4

Each extension will have a toggle at the bottom right. To turn an extension off or on, click this toggle.

5

If this step didn't fix your issue, reach out to a ZenBusiness Agent through Chat or Phone.

Check for Browser Updates

Make sure that the Chrome browser is up to date with the latest version. Outdated browser versions can sometimes cause issus with websites.

Step

Description

1

At the top right of the window, click the 3 vertical dots to open the Chrome menu. If an update is pending, this will be colored:

  • Green: An update was released less than 2 days ago.

  • Orange: An update was released about 4 days ago.

  • Red: An update was released at least a week ago.

2

Click Help.

3

Click "About Google Chrome."

4

Chrome will automatically check if it is up to date. If there is an update available, there'll be a button to Update Google Chrome.

If there is no button, Chrome is on the latest version.

5

After updating, click Relaunch and try reloading the Dashboard.

If the issue isn't resolved, or if there is no update available,
