Understanding Your ZenBusiness Bill and Billing History

ZenBusiness charges appear on your credit or debit card as "ZenBusiness" or "ZB*". Your full billing history is in your account under Account Settings → Billing — click any entry to open the invoice and download a PDF. Annual subscription renewals are the most common source of unexpected charges.

Where to Find Your Billing History

  1. Log in at zenbusiness.com
  2. Go to Account Settings → Billing
  3. Your billing history shows all past charges with dates, amounts, and descriptions
  4. Click any transaction to open the full invoice
  5. Use your browser's Print or Save as PDF to keep a copy

For tax records: Download invoices individually from Account Settings → Billing. There is no bulk invoice export — each invoice must be downloaded separately.

Identify an Unrecognized Charge

If you see a ZenBusiness charge you don't recognize:

  1. Find it in billing history: Go to Account Settings → Billing, locate the charge by date and amount, and click it to view the invoice — it will show the product or service name
  2. Check active subscriptions: Go to Account Settings → Subscriptions to see all services currently active on your account and their renewal dates
  3. Check for annual renewals: The most common unrecognized charge is an annual subscription that renewed 12 months after the original purchase — check the invoice date against when you first signed up for a service

Dispute or Request a Refund

If you believe a charge is incorrect:

  1. Note the exact amount, date, and invoice description
  2. Contact our support team with those details
  3. Support can verify whether the charge is correct and discuss refund options

ZenBusiness sends renewal reminder emails before annual charges — check your inbox (and spam folder) for prior notice if you received an unexpected renewal.

Frequently Asked Questions

I was charged $15 and don't know why. What is it?

A $15 charge is almost certainly the Money Pro monthly subscription ($15/month). Log in and check Account Settings → Subscriptions — if Money Pro is active, that's the charge. If you no longer use Money Pro, cancel it at ZenBusiness Money → Settings → Cancel Subscription.

I was charged $199 or $349 and I thought my plan was free. Why?

Annual subscriptions renew automatically after 12 months. The $199 charge is likely a Registered Agent Service, Pro plan, or Worry-Free Compliance renewal. The $349 charge is likely a Premium plan renewal. Go to Account Settings → Billing, click the charge, and the invoice will show exactly which service renewed.

What is the state filing fee on my invoice?

State filing fees are the amounts your state government charges to process your LLC or corporation paperwork. These are paid directly to the state and are separate from ZenBusiness service fees. The amount varies by state — from $40 (Kentucky) to $500+ (Massachusetts). ZenBusiness collects this fee and remits it to the state on your behalf.

Can I download all my invoices at once?

No. ZenBusiness billing history doesn't support bulk export. Download each invoice individually from Account Settings → Billing by clicking the entry and saving the page as PDF. If you need multiple invoices for a tax filing or dispute, contact our support team and they may be able to assist.

My subscription renewed and I didn't want it to. Can I get a refund?

Contact our support team as soon as possible after the charge. Refund eligibility depends on the service and timing. Contacting support within a few days of the renewal gives you the best chance of a refund.

How do I cancel a service to prevent future charges?

For most services: Account Settings → Subscriptions → Cancel next to the service you want to stop. For Money Pro specifically: ZenBusiness Money → Settings → Cancel Subscription. See How to Cancel Your ZenBusiness Subscription for the full process for each service type.

I have two businesses with ZenBusiness. Do I get one combined invoice?

Each ZenBusiness business is billed separately. If you formed two LLCs through ZenBusiness, you have separate invoices and subscription lines for each entity. Both appear in Account Settings → Billing — look for the business name listed on each invoice to identify which entity was charged.
