If you are new to ZenBusiness and have already formed your business but wish to appoint ZenBusiness as your registered agent, we have you covered!
Set Up Flow
In order to get started, we will ask you a few questions about your business. The following steps detail the questions we will ask.
1 | First, navigate to the ZenBusiness homepage and click Products & Pricing at the top. Next, select Registered Agent, and we will take you to the Registered Agent sign up flow. |
2 | Click the green “GET A REGISTERED AGENT” button.
3 |
We will start by asking you some information about your business.
4 | Next we will need the main contact info for your business. You can skip this section for now if you like.
5 | Now we will confirm if you already have a Registered Agent. If you’ve already appointed one, we’ll submit Change of Registered Agent paperwork to the state when we complete your order. |
6 | Next you will be shown an offer to save when bundling your Registered Agent Service with our Worry Free Compliance. You can select to add the Worry Free Compliance or proceed with just Registered Agent. The Worry Free Compliance can help you avoid state fines and penalties by covering annual report filings and up to 2 yearly amendments. |
7 | On the next page you can select to add the Money Pro service, which helps you track and manage your finances and taxes in one place.
8 | Now you will be taken to your checkout summary page which displays the items in your cart.
Post-Purchase Flow
After the initial set-up, you will be prompted for additional information regarding your business.
1 | Once you have confirmed your order, you will be prompted to review your account owner details.
2 | Next, you will create a password for your ZenBusiness account.
3 | Now you will be prompted to enter your payment info or checkout with Apple Pay.
4 | From here you will be prompted to enter your business industry and purpose.
5 | You will be asked to provide the Physical, Mailing and Principal addresses for your business.
The Physical address is the address where business is conducted. It is often required to be within the same state you are transacting business, and may also serve as the principal address.
The Mailing address is where you receive mail for your business. It can be an official business address, P.O. Box, or personal address.
The Principal address can be found on your state filing paperwork. Make sure it matches or your order may be delayed.
6 | Enter the number of owners your business has. Once that is selected, we will ask for additional information about the business ownership.
If you are the only owner, once you click continue, you can click the box next to your name to auto fill the information. If there are additional owners or the owner of the business is different than you, you will need to manually fill in the required information.
7 | Next you will select how your business will be managed.
8 | Now you will enter who will be the official state communication contact, the service of process contact, and authorized signatory for your business. You can click the box next to your name, or enter the contact info for the individual who will fulfil these roles.
9 | After all that work, we will congratulate you with some digital confetti and then give you the option to go to your newly formed ZenBusiness dashboard, where you can track your Registered Agent services and check for any communications! If you ever have any other questions, our helpful Customer Success team is always happy to help! You can reach them through the chat bubble in the bottom right of your screen or through the help center!
