What Happens to My Data After Canceling Money Pro?

When you cancel Money Pro, your dashboard access ends immediately. You will not be able to log in, view your data, or export anything after cancellation. If you re-purchase Money Pro within 30 days, all your previous data is restored. After 30 days, your data is permanently deleted.

Download your data before you cancel. Once cancelled, you lose access immediately — there is no read-only window to export afterward.

Download Your Data Before You Cancel

The best way to save a complete record of your Money Pro data is the Tax Details (for Tax Filing) report:

  1. Go to ReportsTax Reports
  2. Click Tax Details (for Tax Filing)
  3. Download and save the file

This report contains a comprehensive export of your financial data. Download it before initiating cancellation.

You can also download additional records individually:

Transactions: Expenses or Income tab → Export → select full date range → CSV format

Invoices: Invoicing tab → download individual PDFs, or use Export All for a bulk download

Other tax reports: Reports → Tax Reports → download Schedule C Report and Profit & Loss Statement for each year

Re-Purchasing After Cancellation

If you cancel and want your data back, re-purchase Money Pro within 30 days:

  1. Log in at zenbusiness.com
  2. Go to Account SettingsSubscriptions
  3. Find Money Pro and select Resubscribe

All your previous data will be restored immediately. If more than 30 days have passed, the data has been permanently deleted and a new subscription starts fresh.

What Happens to Your Bank Connection

Your bank credentials (stored through Plaid) are disconnected when you cancel. This is for your security. It does not affect your ZenBusiness Banking account if you have one — that remains completely active.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my data retrievable after 30 days?

No. After 30 days from cancellation, your Money Pro data is permanently deleted. ZenBusiness does not retain it. There is no recovery option — this is why downloading before you cancel is critical.

Will canceling affect tax filings I've already submitted?

No. Tax returns you've already filed are stored with the IRS and in your own records. Losing access to Money Pro does not affect anything already filed. That said, export your historical reports before canceling — the IRS can audit returns up to 3 years after filing, and you may need your records.

What if I cancel by accident before downloading my data?

Re-purchase Money Pro as quickly as possible. If you're within 30 days of cancellation, all your data will be restored when you re-subscribe. Contact our support team if you need help confirming your cancellation date.

What if my Money Pro access was cut off before I expected?

If you believe access ended earlier than your billing period should have allowed, contact our support team immediately. Provide your account email and the date you expected access to continue. The team can investigate and help you determine whether your data is still within the 30-day recovery window.
