How to Complete Stripe Verification for Money Pro Payments

To complete Stripe verification for Money Pro payments, open your connected Stripe account, look for any Action required messages, and submit the requested identity, business, tax, or bank information. Stripe may pause payments or payouts until verification is complete. These requirements are managed by Stripe, not inside Money Pro.

Why Stripe Requires Verification

Stripe is the payment processor for online invoice payments in Money Pro. Because Stripe moves money between your clients, your Stripe balance, and your bank account, Stripe must verify information about your business and its representatives.

Verification requirements can appear during onboarding or later if Stripe needs updated information. If the required information is missing or rejected, Stripe may limit your ability to accept payments, receive payouts, use ACH, or access faster payout options.

Money Pro cannot override Stripe verification requirements. Completing the requested steps in Stripe is the fastest way to restore payment and payout access.

Step 1 — Open Your Connected Stripe Account

  1. Log in at stripe.com with the Stripe account connected to Money Pro.
  2. If your Money Pro dashboard has a Stripe management link, go to ZenBusiness Money → Invoicing → Payments Settings and open Stripe from there.
  3. Confirm you are in the correct Stripe account.

If you have multiple Stripe accounts, use the one connected to Money Pro invoice payments. Verification completed in a different Stripe account will not fix Money Pro payment or payout issues.

Step 2 — Look for Action-Required Messages

In Stripe, check the Dashboard home page, account settings, and notification banners for messages such as:

  • Action required
  • Information needed
  • Payouts paused
  • Payments disabled
  • Verify your account

Open the message and review exactly what Stripe is requesting. Stripe may ask for different information depending on your business type, country, payment methods, or account history.

Step 3 — Submit the Requested Information

Common Stripe verification requests include:

Requested item What to check
Legal name Must match official identity or business records
Business address Use a complete physical or mailing address accepted by Stripe
EIN or tax ID Enter the business tax ID exactly as issued
Owner or representative SSN Stripe may ask for the last 4 digits or more details
Business website Use your website, social media page, marketplace profile, or public business listing
Bank account Add or verify the bank account used for payouts
Documents Upload clear, current, unexpired documents if requested

After submitting information, return to the Stripe Dashboard and confirm whether the requirement is cleared or still pending review.

Step 4 — Confirm Payments and Payouts Are Enabled

After verification is complete, check Stripe to confirm payments and payouts are active. Then send or review a Money Pro invoice payment if needed.

If the issue involved missing payouts, also confirm the bank account receiving Stripe payouts is connected to Money Pro through Plaid. Money Pro needs that bank feed to see the Stripe deposit, link payouts to invoices, and create fee transactions automatically.

Troubleshooting Verification Problems

Stripe rejected my information or document

Review Stripe's rejection reason and resubmit corrected information. Common issues include blurry documents, expired documents, mismatched names, incomplete addresses, or a business website that does not clearly represent the business.

I do not have a business website

Stripe often requires a public URL for your business. If you do not have a website, use a social media profile, marketplace profile, professional listing, or other public page where your business is represented.

I completed verification but payouts are still paused

Check whether Stripe has another pending requirement. Some requirements clear immediately; others take review time. Also check payout bank details and whether a previous payout failed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can ZenBusiness complete Stripe verification for me?

No. Stripe verification must be completed in the connected Stripe account by the account owner or authorized representative. ZenBusiness can help you find where to go, but Stripe controls the verification review and approval process.

What happens if I ignore Stripe verification requests?

Stripe may pause payments, payouts, ACH, Instant Payouts, or other payment capabilities until the requested information is provided. If payouts are paused, funds may remain in Stripe until verification is complete.

Why is Stripe asking for my SSN or identity information?

Stripe verifies account representatives to meet financial regulations and reduce fraud. Depending on your account, Stripe may ask for personal identity details, business tax information, or documents that prove the business and representative information.

How long does Stripe verification take?

Some updates clear quickly, while document reviews can take longer. Check Stripe's Dashboard for the current status. If Stripe says information is still required or under review, Money Pro cannot force the account to pay out faster.

Does verification affect Money Pro invoice reconciliation?

Verification mainly affects payment and payout availability. Once payouts resume, Money Pro can automatically reconcile Stripe payouts only if the payout bank account is connected to Money Pro through Plaid.
