How to Update Your Stripe Payout Schedule for Money Pro

To update your Stripe payout schedule for Money Pro payments, log in to Stripe, open Payout settings, and choose an automatic schedule such as daily, weekly, or monthly. This setting is managed in Stripe, not inside Money Pro. Changing the schedule controls when Stripe sends available funds to your bank; it does not make pending payments clear faster.

Before You Change Your Payout Schedule

Money Pro uses Stripe to process online invoice payments. When a client pays your invoice by card or ACH bank transfer, Stripe collects the payment, deducts processing fees, and then pays the remaining balance to your connected bank account.

Your payout schedule controls when Stripe sends available funds to your bank account. It does not control how long a card or ACH payment takes to become available in Stripe first.

Typical timing:

Payment type When funds become available When funds reach your bank
Card payment Usually 1–2 business days Usually 1–2 business days after payout starts
ACH bank transfer Usually about 2 business days Usually 1–2 business days after payout starts
First payment on a new Stripe account Held for 7 business days Paid out after the first-payment hold

If you need funds sooner, changing from weekly to daily payouts can help once funds are available. It will not skip Stripe's settlement period, ACH clearing time, account verification holds, or the first-payment hold.

Step 1 — Open Your Stripe Dashboard

  1. Go to stripe.com and log in with the Stripe account connected to Money Pro.
  2. If you access Stripe from Money Pro, go to ZenBusiness Money → Invoicing → Payments Settings and choose the option to manage or view your Stripe account.
  3. Confirm you are in the correct Stripe account before changing payout settings.

If you have more than one Stripe account, make sure you select the account connected to Money Pro invoice payments. Changing the schedule on a different Stripe account will not affect your Money Pro payouts.

Step 2 — Go to Payout Settings

In Stripe, open Settings → Bank accounts and scheduling or go directly to Stripe's payout settings page at dashboard.stripe.com/settings/payouts.

From this page, you can review:

  • The bank account or debit card receiving payouts
  • Your automatic payout schedule
  • Whether manual payouts are available
  • Any account verification requirements that may block payouts

If Stripe shows an Action required banner, complete those requirements first. Missing bank details, identity verification, or tax information can delay or pause payouts even if your payout schedule is set correctly.

Step 3 — Choose a Payout Schedule

Select the payout schedule that works best for your business:

Schedule What it means Best for
Daily automatic payouts Stripe sends available funds every business day Businesses that want the fastest routine automatic payouts
Weekly automatic payouts Stripe sends available funds on selected weekday(s) Businesses that reconcile income weekly
Monthly automatic payouts Stripe sends available funds on selected day(s) each month Businesses that prefer monthly bookkeeping cycles
Manual payouts You choose when to send available funds Businesses that want more control over cash movement

After choosing a schedule, save your changes in Stripe. Payouts scheduled on weekends or bank holidays usually arrive on the next business day.

Important: If you turn off automatic payouts and switch to manual payouts, Stripe will not automatically send funds to your bank. You must log in to Stripe and manually initiate payouts when you want to transfer available balance.

What Happens After You Update the Schedule

Your new payout schedule applies to future available balances in Stripe. Payments that are still pending must finish clearing before Stripe can include them in a payout.

For example, if a client pays an invoice by ACH today, the payment usually needs about 2 business days to clear into your Stripe balance. If your schedule is daily, Stripe can include those funds in a payout once they become available. If your schedule is weekly, Stripe waits until your selected payout day.

You can check payout status in Stripe under Balance or Payouts. Stripe shows pending balance, available balance, recent payouts, expected arrival dates, and any failed or delayed payouts.

For Money Pro bookkeeping, confirm the bank account receiving Stripe payouts is connected to Money Pro through Plaid. Money Pro can automatically link Stripe payouts to invoices and create Stripe fee transactions, but only when it can see the payout deposit in the connected bank feed.

If You Need Money Faster Than Your Schedule Allows

Stripe may offer Instant Payouts for eligible accounts. Instant Payouts move available Stripe balance to a supported bank account or debit card, usually within about 30 minutes.

To check eligibility:

  1. Log in to Stripe.
  2. Go to Balance or Payouts.
  3. Look for an Instant Payout or Pay out funds instantly option.
  4. Review Stripe's fee and confirm the payout.

Instant Payouts only work for available balance. They do not speed up ACH clearing, card settlement, verification holds, or a first-payment hold. Stripe may also limit eligibility based on account history, risk review, bank support, or country.

Troubleshooting Payout Schedule Changes

I do not see payout schedule options in Stripe

Stripe may limit payout schedule options based on your country, account type, verification status, or risk review. Complete any Action required items in Stripe first. If options are still missing, contact Stripe support from your Stripe dashboard.

I changed to daily payouts but still have not received my money

Daily payouts only send funds that are already available in Stripe. Check Balance in Stripe to see whether the payment is still pending, available, paid out, or blocked by verification. ACH payments and first payments often take longer than customers expect.

My first payout is delayed

The first payment processed through a new Stripe account is usually held for 7 business days before payout. This is a standard Stripe verification and risk-review hold. After the first payout clears, later payments follow the normal schedule unless Stripe requests additional verification.

I switched to manual payouts and stopped receiving deposits

Manual payouts require you to initiate each payout yourself. Log in to Stripe, go to Balance or Payouts, and choose the option to pay out available funds. If you want Stripe to resume automatic transfers, return to Payout settings and choose daily, weekly, or monthly automatic payouts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I update my Stripe payout schedule inside Money Pro?

No. Money Pro sends invoice payments through Stripe, but payout schedule settings are managed in Stripe. Log in to Stripe directly or open your connected Stripe account from ZenBusiness Money → Invoicing → Payments Settings if that option appears in your dashboard.

Does changing my payout schedule make ACH payments clear faster?

No. The payout schedule controls when Stripe sends available funds to your bank. ACH payments still need to clear into your Stripe balance first, which usually takes about 2 business days. After the funds are available, your payout schedule determines when Stripe starts the bank transfer.

What payout schedule should I choose?

Choose daily payouts if you want the fastest routine automatic transfer of available funds. Choose weekly or monthly payouts if you prefer fewer deposits for bookkeeping. Choose manual payouts only if you are comfortable logging in to Stripe and initiating payouts yourself.

Why did my payout arrive later than the scheduled day?

Payouts can arrive later because of weekends, bank holidays, pending payment settlement, Stripe verification requirements, bank processing delays, or the first-payment hold. Check Stripe's Balance or Payouts page for the current payout status and expected arrival date.

Can I send one payout immediately without changing my schedule?

Possibly. If your Stripe account is eligible, use Instant Payouts to send available balance to a supported bank account or debit card, usually within about 30 minutes. Stripe charges a fee for Instant Payouts, and pending funds are not eligible until they become available.

Who should I contact if my payout is missing?

First check Stripe's Balance and Payouts pages for status, expected arrival date, verification requests, or failed payout messages. If Stripe shows the payout succeeded but your bank has not posted it, contact your bank. For Money Pro invoice or merchant account questions, contact our support team.
