Linking External Accounts to ZenBusiness Banking
You can link external bank accounts to ZenBusiness Banking through Plaid, then use those connected accounts to transfer money in or out. Once linked, transfers can be initiated right away. There is no limit to the number of accounts you can link.

Linking an external account lets you move money between your ZenBusiness Banking account and another account you own without logging in to the other bank separately. ZenBusiness uses Plaid to handle the connection, so you authenticate through Plaid rather than entering account credentials directly into ZenBusiness.

How to Link an External Account
Linked accounts are managed from Connected Accounts in the Banking section of your dashboard.
Step-by-step
- Log in to your ZenBusiness account.
- Go to Banking.
- Open Connected Accounts.
- Click Link account or Link an account.
- Continue through the Plaid flow.
- Search for or select your bank.
- Sign in to that bank using the bank’s login flow.
- Authorize the connection.
- Return to the Banking dashboard and confirm the linked account appears.
Plaid security
Plaid protects your data using AES 256 and TLS encryption, requires multi-factor authentication, and conducts regular security audits. Your external bank credentials are never shared directly with ZenBusiness.
Transfer Money Between Linked Accounts
Once an external account is connected, you can move money into or out of ZenBusiness Banking without signing in to the other bank separately.
How to transfer funds
- Log in to ZenBusiness Banking.
- Go to Connected Accounts.
- Find the linked account you want to use.
- Click Move money.
- Choose Deposit money to move funds into ZenBusiness Banking, or Send money to move funds out.
- Follow the prompts to complete the transfer.

ACH
- Daily limit: $10,000
- Monthly limit: $100,000
Wire
- Daily limit: $50,000
- Monthly limit: $100,000
Transfer timing
Transfers between linked accounts can begin right away after linking. Timing depends on the transfer type.
Unlink an Account
To remove a connected account, go to Banking → Connected Accounts and remove it from there.
Before unlinking, confirm there are no pending transfers tied to the account. Unlinking while a transfer is in progress may cause issues.
Common Linking Problems
Bank login not working during Plaid setup
Double-check your username and password. If you use a password manager or autofill, confirm it is entering the correct credentials for that bank.
Your bank does not appear in Plaid
Plaid may not support your bank yet. Contact ZenBusiness support with your bank's name and they will request Plaid add support for it.
Need to move money while linking is not working
Initiate the transfer from your external bank instead. Use your ZenBusiness Banking routing and account numbers, which you can find in Account details on your Banking dashboard.
Limits and Restrictions
How many accounts can I link?
There is no limit to the number of accounts you can link.
Can I link a credit card?
No. Credit cards cannot be linked for fund transfers.
Can I link a debit card?

Can I set up automatic transfers?
No. Automatic transfers between linked accounts are not supported yet.

How do I link an external bank account to ZenBusiness Banking?

My bank is not in Plaid — how do I still move money?
Use your ZenBusiness Banking routing number (064209588) and account number, found in Banking → Account details. Initiate the transfer from your other bank's side. Contact support with your bank's name so Plaid coverage can be reviewed for future support.
Can I link more than one external account?
Yes. There is no limit to the number of accounts you can link.
Can I link a credit card?

Go to Banking → Connected Accounts, find the account, and remove it. Confirm there are no pending transfers tied to it first — removing an account while a transfer is in progress may cause issues.

Does linking an account give ZenBusiness access to my external bank balance?
No. Linked accounts are used for transfers only. Plaid connects the accounts securely but does not give ZenBusiness visibility into your external bank balance or transaction history.
